Cobalt Shipping Information

Usually ships within 2-5 business days, delivery will be another 2-7 business days


*Shipping is included to most of the continental United States (Alaska and Hawaii customers please contact us for shipping costs before placing order). However, in some remote rural areas, islands, toll bridge access areas, union states, ferry tolls, etc. may be subject to additional charges (i.e. New York). Certain limited access locations (i.e churches, schools, libraries, construction sites etc) are subject to a $75 access fee. If any additional charges apply the customer will be notified before shipping. Please enter shipping address carefully. Incorrect shipping addresses will result in extra shipping charges for the customer. If customer changes mind once a safe has shipped customer will be responsible for freight to and from the delivery address as well as restocking fee.


Safes under 100lbs ship via UPS ground, safes over 100lbs ship curbside delivery (delivery personnel will present goods to ground level at rear of delivery vehicle. Customer is responsible for final movement of goods, unpack and debris removal). Freight deliveries will require inspection and signature. Customers must be available for delivery once a safe ships or storage fees may apply. Please contact us prior to shipment if you require a delay.

Cobalt Safe utilizes the services of UPS Parcel on all safe orders weighing 100 lbs or less. All safes are shipped
via UPS Ground for cost effectiveness. Safe shipment can be upgraded to Next Day or 2nd Day Air per customers
request and at cost to the customer. Customer must notify Cobalt Safes of any damages or defects and along with a
description of the damage/defect within 24 hour of receipt. If the customer declines to keep the damaged or defective safe it will
be the customer’s responsible to repackage and hold the safe until a claim can be submitted and UPS Parcel can
retrieve the damage safe, this can process can take approximately 10 – 14 business days.

Cobalt Safes utilizes the services of
both UPS Freight and R&L Carriers for all LTL shipments. The freight carrier provides either dock or curbside
delivery based upon delivery location. Curbside delivery is defined as delivery of the freight as close to the
actual delivery address as possible. Please remember the size of the tractor trailer and certain safety
precautions may prevent the freight carrier from delivering at the actual curb or delivery address.Lift-gate
service is standard on all deliveries at no additional charge. The freight carrier is not responsible for inside
delivery of freight and inside delivery is not a service that Cobalt Safes offers.

DO NOT SIGN THE DELIVERY RECEIPT UNTIL INSPECTING AS FOLLOWS: If there are no visible signs of damage to the box or item, you may sign the delivery receipt and let the delivery company leave.  Make sure to unbox the item and inspect it immediately even as the delivery driver is walking back to the truck.  If you find damage, contact us immediately. (We will put tape over any damage to the box prior to leaving our facility.) 

If the safe is lying down, covered in plastic shrink wrap, and/or you see visible signs of damage to the box or item, the driver is required to wait for you to unpackage the safe and inspect it for further damage. However, this must be done in a timely matter.  If you find some damage but you still want to keep the safe, make sure to notate the damage on the delivery receipt so that we can file a claim and offer compensation.  Take pictures of the damaged areas prior to unpackaging and after unpackaging. Contact us immediately to start the claim process.  If the compensation offered is not acceptable, you will still have the option to return the item for a full refund or replacement. (Compensation amount is usually offered within 24 hours.) If there is too much damage or the delivery driver refuses to let you inspect for further damage, then refuse the safe and we will ship you a replacement safe or refund your money in full upon return.  DO NOT ACCEPT THE ITEM WITH DAMAGE WITHOUT NOTATING THE DAMAGE ON THE DELIVERY RECEIPT PRIOR TO SIGNING.

Note:Someone must be present at the delivery location at the time of the scheduled delivery. The recipients signature must be present on the drivers copy of the delivery receipt and any notes of damage must also be on the drivers copy of the delivery receipt.
